Summit for the Planet
We are going to do a walkathon………On April 25th MOUNT MADONNA School gathers to at the MOUNT MADONNA CENTER and have what is called a walkathon. This is a green way to raise funds for the school. Any friends, family or relatives can join. Sign up and pledge an amount of money and ask your friends to support you on this day.
Organizations keep 70% of everything in Summit for the Planet go green. The other 30% covers the expenses. You can join at any age, and any age can have fun! The point of this is that you do the event and the school uses the money for school expenses. You have an option of 1K for the younger kids, 5K for older elementary kids and 10K for middle and high school. If you are in elementary and you want to do 10K, then you can! It is a very nice walk; with trees at every angle and moss at your feet. This special day is on environmental day and so that means it’s double the fun!
